Dr. David Lowenstein Biography

Dr. David LowensteinPsychologist in private practice in Columbus, Ohio specializes with children, adolescents and adults in individual, marital, family and group therapy for over 30 years.  He is also involved in consulting and training for several mental health agencies and facilities throughout the United States.  Dr. Lowenstein has provided expert testimony around the country concerning issues related to adolescent and adult psychopathology, custody evaluations and other forensic issues.  In addition, Dr. Lowenstein has been a regular expert used on weekly news segment on the ABC, CBS and NBC News affiliates in Columbus, Ohio (WSYX-TV, WBNS-TV and WCMH-TV) as well as featured on CNN, FOX and ONN, New York Times, Columbus Monthly Magazine, Columbus Parent Magazine and Columbus Dispatch.  Presently, he has a bi-weekly news segment entitled “Next Generation” on WBNS-TV morning show on Sundays concerning issues related to parenting, families and other mental health issues.  Coupled with this, Dr. Lowenstein has been a guest on several local and national radio shows about mental health issues.  He has also authored several articles in many lay and professional journals around the country dealing with parenting, divorce, marital issues and other mental health issues. 

Dr. Lowenstein is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, American Psychological Association, American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, American Academy of Doctors of Psychology, Ohio Psychological Association, American College of Forensic Examiners, Learning Disability Association and the Professional Association of Custody Evaluators.
